Flooded Church
Flooded Church. This is the Krokhino Church. It borders between the Shiksna and the White Lake. During the 15th century a Prince had to seek shleter during a storm. He later had a church built on the spot in gratitude for escaping dangers of the storm. Soviets began building hydroelectric power along the river and this church was a victim of the floods. This church now is breaking up into several pieces. Seen along the rivers in Russia. Black and white photography by Donna Corless.
